Gulfstream G700 set a new Los Angeles to Farnborough, England, city pair speed record, completing the 4,740-nautical-mile/8,778-kilometer journey in 8 hours and 27 minutes from takeoff to touchdown. The achievement highlights the exceptional real-world performance of the G700 and reinforces its position as the industry flagship. The record-setting flight departed Los Angeles International Airport and landed at Farnborough Airport, shattering the most recent record by 19 minutes, 3.6% faster than the most recent record. The accomplishment adds to the growing list of city pair records established by Gulfstream’s next-generation fleet and further demonstrates the aircraft’s ability to deliver unmatched speed, range and operational flexibility for customers around the world.

Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream commented: “True aviation speed and distance records are measured from takeoff to touchdown, and this achievement reflects exactly the kind of performance our customers experience every day,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “The G700 continues to redefine what is possible in business aviation by combining speed, range and efficiency with an unrivaled passenger experience. This latest record is yet another demonstration of Gulfstream’s commitment to delivering proven performance in real-world situations, where it matters most.”

Featuring the industry’s most spacious cabin, the G700 offers an unmatched combination of comfort and performance. Passengers benefit from the Gulfstream Cabin Experience, including 100% fresh air, abundant natural light from 20 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows and the industry’s lowest cabin altitude at the highest elevations, helping travelers arrive more refreshed after ultralong-range missions. The aircraft can fly up to 7,750 nm/14,353 km at Mach 0.85 or 6,650 nm/12,316 km at Mach 0.90 and has a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935.
