RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska celebrates opening of expanded production and office facility

RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska has reached a significant milestone with the opening of its expanded production and office facility in Świebodzin, Poland. The double-digit million-euro investment more than doubles the site’s size to over 22,000 square meters and increases annual production capacity by nearly 70%, from 60,000 to 100,000 passenger seats.

The expansion includes 8,600 square meters of additional space for production, logistics, and cut2dress operations, creating a combined operational area of approximately 18,000 square meters. With production lines increasing from four to eight, the facility is positioned to meet growing global demand while supporting RECARO’s long-term growth strategy. A newly designed production environment incorporates a linear workflow to improve efficiency, ergonomics, and productivity. Separate assembly and logistics zones enhance safety and optimize material handling, while future investments in automated storage and picking systems will further strengthen warehouse operations by the end of 2027.

Complementing the production investment, RECARO has added approximately 3,000 square meters of state-of-the-art office space, bringing the total office area to nearly 5,000 square meters. The new environment features open offices, modern conference facilities, a canteen, and dedicated social spaces, reflecting the company’s commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being.

Specializing in Economy Class seating, the Świebodzin site manufactures RECARO’s R1, R2, and R3 seat platforms and includes dedicated cut2dress operations that provide in-house dress cover production. Since its establishment, the facility has produced nearly 660,000 passenger seats, underscoring its importance within RECARO’s manufacturing footprint.

Looking ahead, the site is expected to welcome more than 200 additional employees over the next five years as demand across the aviation industry continues to grow. Through the space2grow investment, Świebodzin is further expanding its contribution to RECARO’s global operations and increasing its ability to support customers worldwide.
