Empire Airlines, Inc. President and CEO Tim Komberec recently announced changes in the executive structure of the company.

Scott Marikis was named Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Scott has been with Empire for eight years as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He has over twenty years of senior-level general management and financial experience in various industries including mining and oil and gas. Scott is also anMBA and CPA.

Randy Lanfell has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Randy has held the position of Director of Operations for the past fifteen years and has an extensive background in the regional airline industry both as a pilot and a senior manager.

Tom Strom has been promoted to Vice President of Maintenance. Tom has been with Empire twenty-eight years and has been the Director of Maintenance for Empire since 2004. Tom worked as an aviation mechanic for both fixed wing airplanes and helicopters prior to Empire.

“My role in the company remains the same and these changes will increase our ability to continue to provide world class service to our customers while handling the growth and increasing complexity of the business.” said Tim Komberec.

Empire Airlines is an Idaho based company with over 350 employees providing air cargo services for FedEx in 15 states and inter-island passenger airline services for Hawaiian Airlines in Hawaii. Empire also operates two other divisions: Empire Aerospace providing heavy maintenance and modifications to the industry and Empire Unmanned which provides unmanned aerial surveillance and analysis for agriculture and related industries.
